A Day in the Life of a Support Worker at integratedliving

8:00 AM – Coffee in hand, ready to start my shift. Plans change and I’m reassigned to Mrs. Jones for a 1.5-hour domestic assistance visit. Flexibility is key to making the day flow.

9:00 AM – I arrive at Mrs. Jones’ home and review the tasks: bed making, vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cooking, and cleaning. I greet her warmly and ask, “Would you like a hot drink to start the day?” After confirming her preferences, I get straight to work efficiently and focused.

10:30 AM – Her home is sparkling, and her smile reminds me why I love this work. Next, I head to two more domestic assistance shifts. Each home is a mix of cleaning, cooking, and friendly conversation. A clean home isn’t just nice to look at—it helps older Australians live independently.

3:00 PM – My final stop: grocery shopping with Mr. Bruno. He’s got a list, I’ve got the trolley. We hunt for specials, swap recipes, and share laughs.

4:30 PM – Groceries delivered, laughs shared, and notes updated in our mobile app—day complete. Four happy clients, and a fulfilling day behind me.
